St Edmundsbury Borough Council is likely next week to agree to freeze its council tax levy for the third successive year, in line with Suffolk County Council; Plans to hand over responsibility for Suffolk’s highway to a private firm have been delayed for six months after the preferred bidder’s option has fallen through. A site in Eden Road worth up to £35,000 is likely to be given away by the council to Havebury to build affordable homes on.
