Abandoned cars

CONCERNED at the increasing number of abandoned cars the Town Council has made a bid to the Suffolk Environmental Trust for a grant.
At present St Edmundsbury Borough Council charge owners £25 to remove a car for scrapping. Under the Town Council's plans, if successful, the grant scheme would pay that charge on behalf of the owners.
The Town Council's bid is 10% match-funded by Technics Motor Repairs, 1 Fenfields, Homefield Road, Haverhill.
