Accountant in top three for prestigious national award

Haverhill accountant Paul Donno has been shortlisted in this years prestigious British Accountancy Awards to be held at a gala dinner at The Pavilion the Tower of London with 800 people in attendance on November 20.
Paul is a partner at Jacobs Allen Chartered Accountants based in Bury St Edmunds and Haverhill and has been shortlisted for the Accounting Technician Of The Year award, for which he is both a licensed practitioner and fellow member.
Paul said: “The British accountancy awards is the pinnacle award in our profession and I am really pleased to have been shortlisted. This could not have been possible without a great team around me and I believe that the team at Jacobs Allen Chartered Accountants is absolutely first class in every way.
“Being shortlisted for such a prestigious award is not easy and I am very happy to be in the top three of the country. I am pleased for Bury St Edmunds and Haverhill to be recognised as well.”
Paul merged his already thriving accountancy practice with Jacobs Allen in March 2012 and has helped strengthen the new merged practice with his entrepreneurial flair.
The merged practice has gone from strength to strength and is looking forward to its continued growth with the existing clients and new business that the company is attracting.
Jacobs Allen were commended for Business Of The Year in the 2012 Business Awards held in Bury St Edmunds. They also won the St Nicholas Hospice Towergate challenge for the second time in the three years it has been running.
The team at Jacobs Allen are keen to raise money for charity and took part in the Movember challenge raising money for Prostate Cancer UK as well as helping to raise money for ‘Workforce’ in Bury St Edmunds.
Paul is passionate about helping businesses to achieve their goals and with a first class team around him is able to deliver a tailored package to business owners from planning for the future to complex tax solutions.
