Benjamin, 7, wins ipod shuffle in leisure centre competition

Tuesday, 27th September 2011.

Haverhill seven-year-old Benjamin Harris has won his very own ipod shuffle in a competition at Haverhill Leisure Centre.

Benjamin, who lives in Piper’s Close and is a Thurlow Primary School pupil, was thrilled when his mum Amanda told him that he was the winner of a school holiday prize draw at Haverhill Leisure Centre. The centre ran the competition to promote its school holiday camps in August.

Amanda, who runs Amanda Julia Couture in the town, said: “Benjamin is thrilled to bits with his prize. We love listening to music at home and now he has the chance to pick his own favourites for his ipod.”

The October half-term programme includes the centre’s popular holiday camps where children can take part in athletics, cycling, tennis, basketball, football and laser blast.

There’s also a chance to make Halloween hats and masks, pumpkin carving, making a guy, a spooky ball and a coffee morning fancy dress event.

The new October half-term programme is now available to pick up at the Leisure Centre or can be downloaded from the centre’s website at www.acleisure.com
