Bikes worth over £4,000 stolen in garage break-in

Monday, 21st October 2013.

Police in Haverhill are appealing for information after a garage was broken into and two high-value bikes stolen from insiden.

The incident happened between midnight and 6.55am on Wednesday, October 16, in a row of garages in Vetch Walk.

A hole was made in the concrete wall of the garage to get in. A lock was then removed from the bikes, the garage door was forced open and the bikes stolen.

The first bike was a man’s Specialized blue mountain bike, the second a man’s white Identiti Dr Jekyle dirt jump bike. The two bikes are valued at £4,200.

If you have any information in relation to this incident or know the whereabouts of the bikes you are asked to call PC Robert Williams at Haverhill Police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

*A shop window valued at about £1,000 has been smashed in Recreation Road.

Between 8pm on Tuesday, October 15, and 7.30am the next day an unknown object was thrown at the window.
