Booking opens for events at £16.5 million arts centre

Tuesday, 31st August 2010.

You can now get your hands on tickets to the line-up of events at Bury St Edmund’s new £16.5million state-of-the-art music and entertainment venue.

The box office at The Apex will be open for business from 10am on Monday, September 6, and with a packed programme running from October to
the end of the year, the aim is to offer something to suit all tastes.

Kicking off with the first heat of BurySOUND on October 8, the first three months of opening will be ‘Sound Check Season’ enabling the venue to constantly test, trial and tweak all the operational aspects of the building.

For rock lovers the line-up includes ProGBury taking place over the weekend of October 16-17, or, for the beatboxing fans, The Magnets take centre stage on November 16.

If your tastes are more classical there are a number of events booked up to the end of the year including EUCO with Julian Lloyd Webber on October 2, or the Allegri Strong Quartet on November 4.

There are special concerts for children plus the unusual and unique, including Toy Music – a concert where the instruments are made up from
Meccano and toys – taking place on October 23.

To book tickets visit www.theapex.co.uk or call 01284 758000. Box Office opening times are 10am–5pm Monday–Friday and event days. Personal callers at The Apex from October 8.
