Borough council candidates all from main parties
Tuesday, 5th April 2011.
Nominations have closed for the elections to St Edmundsbury Borough Council which take place on May 5.
There are Conservative and Labour candidates in all four Haverhill wards, and Liberal Democrats in three of them. No Independents are standing.
In Haverhill East, where the three sitting members are Les Ager, Gordon Cox and Karen Richardson, all Conservative, the nominations are: Les Ager (Conservative), Gordon Cox (Conservative), Ernie Goody (Labour), Pat Hanlon (Labour), Terry McNally (Lib Dem), Karen Richardson, (Conservative), Ken Rolph (Lib Dem).
In Haverhill North there are also three sitting members Anne Gower, Tim Marks and Paul McManus,also all Conservative. The nominations here are: Allyn Bignell (Lib Dem), Anne Gower (Conservative), Julie Jupp (Labour), Tim Marks (Conservative), Paul McManus (Conservative), Gary Stroud (Labour).
The nominations for Haverhill South, where the two sitting members are Jack Anderson and Gavin Price, both Conservative, are: Maureen Byrne (Labour), Lisa Carr (Labour), Phillip French (Conservative), Mick Graham (Lib Dem), Clive Turner (Conservative).
There are two members for Haverhill West, currently Jeremy Farthing and Adam Whittaker, both Conservative, and the nominations this time are: Roger André (Labour), Jeremy Farthing (Conservative), Adam Whittaker (Conservative).
