Cambridge networking group tours research park

Thursday, 3rd July 2014.

Members of Cambridge Network, the Cambridge academic and business networking group were given a show round of the Haverhill Research Park yesterday and were told about the opportunities there are for small and large to grow on the site.

Of particular interest was the park’s proposed innovation centre, The Epicentre, which has just received planning consent and, in advance of its likely opening in 2015, has already set up a ‘virtual’ offer that includes use of the new innovation centre address, a domain name, post handling and conference/meeting space at a reduced rate at Day’s Inn Hotel, where free Wi-Fi is also available to virtual office tenants.

A spokesperson for the Cambridge Network said: “We are delighted to have held our meeting in Haverhill and learnt about the opportunities Haverhill Research Park can offer both now with a virtual office and as the development progresses. We look forward to visiting again and forging closer links between Haverhill and Cambridge.”

Nic Rumsey, director of Carisbrooke, said: “We were very happy to host the Cambridge Network meeting and show the potential opportunities for small and large businesses alike.

"Our goal here at Haverhill is to provide high quality accommodation in a great location to tenants or freeholders at cost effective prices yet still with a Cambridge postcode.”
