Cash and confectionary taken from Playzone

Tuesday, 14th October 2014.

Burglars struck Playzone's unit in Boundary Road early on Thursday morning and stole cash, drink and confectionary.

The break-in happened between 3.30am and 5.25am, by cutting a wire perimeter fence and then smashing a ground floor window.

Police said the place was ransacked and a 'substantial' sum of cash was taken as well as drink and confectionary from a large fridge.

There have been a number of burglaries of sheds, garages, barns and units in and around Haverhill in the last few weeks.

An attempt was made to break into a garage in Vetch Walk between 2pm on Sunday, October 5, and 12.30pm on Thursday, October 7. There was damage to the door but nothing was taken.

A barn in Hundon, one in Thurlow and others in West Wickham and Shudy Camps have been targeted.

* A house in Sandpiper Close was broken into ransacked between 9.45am on Saturday and 8.30am next day.

The rear door was forced and three bedrooms searched but it is unknown if anything was taken.
