Chamber of secrets opens in a very enterprising way!

Monday, 20th February 2006.

The Chairman of the Haverhill Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Paul Donno, was quoted recently saying that, “Haverhill is without doubt changing and the industry within our town is one of our best kept secrets”. Those secrets are about to be revealed to the rest of the region and beyond at the Haverhill Business Exhibition taking place 24th – 25th March 2006 at Haverhill Leisure Centre. The Business Exhibition is being organised jointly by Haverhill Chamber of Commerce and Haverhill Enterprise 2000.

Keith Brown of Enterprise 2000 explains, “This will be the fifth Haverhill Business Exhibition, the first one took place in the early nineties. Each year the exhibition has grown and become ever more successful, attracting a greater number of exhibitors and visitors. This year the plan is for a bigger, bolder event to reflect the vibrance and enthusiasm of the Haverhill business community. A new feature for 2006 is an extensive programme of workshops, being organised by Ensors Chartered Accountants. The workshops are being run by experts in their field and will cover a wide range of topics critical to business success, from employment law to sales and marketing. All the workshops are free of charge and we expect demand for places to be high so pre-registration is recommended. With the level of enquiries received already we are looking forward to our most successful Exhibition ever.”

There are sixty nine spaces available in total, including four outside. Sizes range from 2 x 2 metres up to 4 x 3 metres. Prices start from £85.00 plus vat for a shell complete with nameboard and strip lighting. Broadband Internet access, provided by WS Networks, will be available for a small additional charge as will electricity.

A number of companies have already reserved their space. Aqua-Tech Cleaning Specialist will be present demonstrating the latest, and safest technology, for cleaning windows – the Reach and Wash system. Nigel Trunks, Managing Director of the company said, “This is a great opportunity for Aqua-Tech to show other companies what we do and for them to get a feel for the company. No other form of marketing gives you the chance to present your company on a personal level to so many people in one hit. I can’t wait to show people the results we can achieve with our new system!”

Another up and coming company, Breeze Business Solutions, are also very keen to show off their products and services. Offering training and support on a range of Sage accountancy packages Breeze will be taking the opportunity to introduce the latest product in their portfolio, ACT! Professional Contact Relationship Management software.

Kay Steel, Director of Breeze outlines what she hopes to achieve at the Exhibition, “Our business is all about people and helping them to improve through training. ACT! Professional helps you to manage not only your time but also the people you deal with, and those that you would like to do business with in the future. Coming along to the Exhibition fits in with our company culture, we love meeting people and talking to them. Talking face to face is the best way to do business. Our objectives are simple - to meet lots of people and tell them about Breeze and our products and services and to find out about other local businesses.”
