Chamber tries out lunchtime event

Thursday, 8th October 2009.

Haverhill Chamber of Commerce is to hold its first lunchtime networking event for businesses in the town and surrounding area on Wednesday, October 21, at Castle Manor college's business and training centre.

The event is open to members and non-members of the chamber and runs from 12 noon to 2pm.

Jacqui Burke, managing director of Flourishing People, based in West Wratting, will be giving tips on how to manage the people issues in business including employing staff, letting employees go, and managing a team.

There will also be plenty of time to network and meet people from other businesses in the town.

Sarah Howard, chairman of the Haverhill Chamber of Commerce, said: “Some businesses find it difficult to get to meetings in the evening so we are launching our first lunchtime event.

“Chamber meetings are a great way to network with other businesses and shout about your company. They are open to members and non-members of any business in the Haverhill area from those just starting out to sole traders and large companies. Just remember to bring plenty of business cards.”

Book your place by emailing kateanstee@haverhillchamber.co.uk , or telephone 01799 668132.

Entry to the event is £7.50 (incl VAT) for members and £15 (incl VAT) for non-members.
