Chance to win a Wii or an iPod

Wednesday, 9th December 2009.

Residents of Suffolk are invited to complete an on-line Staysafe competition to be in with a chance of winning a Nintendo Wii or one of two iPods.

Suffolk Constabulary would like anyone aged 18 or over and resident in Suffolk to take part in the competition to see how sensible and safety savvy they think they are.

There are only eight multiple-choice questions, which are directly linked to the constabulary’s Christmas Staysafe campaign, which highlights sensible drinking and personal safety. One of these questions relates to feelings of safety and does not have a right or wrong answer.

The aims of the competition are to draw people’s attention to our Staysafe campaign, to encourage sensible drinking and to get them thinking about their personal safety when they are out and about.

The Staysafe campaign will run during the weeks leading up to Christmas and New Year and has three key messages:
1 Don’t drink and drive
2 Don’t be afraid – report domestic violence; and
3 Don’t overdo it: Friends should stick together and make sure you get home safely.

The competition takes just a few minutes to complete and is available on-line at www.suffolk.police.uk from midday today (Wednesday) until midday Saturday, January 2, 2010. Simply follow the link on the Homepage.

The winners will be notified early January and a formal presentation of prizes arranged soon after.
