Con man at work in town centre

Friday, 26th March 2010.

A fraudster has been conning money out of staff at a shop and the Leisure Centre in Haverhill.

At around 4pm on Tuesday he asked for money to be changed at the Sports Centre and in doing so confused the member of staff into giving him more money than he started with.

He is described as white, between 5ft 11in and 6ft 1in tall, in his late 20s, of large build with short brown hair and was wearing a black hooded top and jogging bottoms and black and white trainers.

Calls in relation to this incident can be made to the Crime Investigation Bureau (CIB) on 01473 613500 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

A similar offence was committed at a shop in Jubilee Walk at the end of last week.
