Concern over missing Haverhill man

Tuesday, 14th September 2004.

Police in Haverhill are becoming increasingly concerned for a 42 year old man from the town.

Paul Butler, of Kirtling Place, Haverhill was last seen by a work colleague at around 7pm yesterday evening. He was driving a blue L registered Ford Mondeo Estate driving through the village of Sturmer, heading toward Braintree.

He is described as white with a pale complexion, approximately 6 foot 2 inches tall, and of very stocky build, with short, fair to light brown hair, and blue eyes. He has an earring in his left ear, and is usually seen wearing two chains around his neck, with a wedding ring on his left hand and another ring on his right hand.

It it thought Mr Butler maybe wearing dark coloured jogging bottoms, white t-shirt, a black jacket, and brown boots.

Pc Claire Burgess of Haverhill Police said: “we are becoming increasingly concerned for the well being of Mr Butler as he has a history of depression.”

She went on to say: “We are therefore keen to trace him and ensure that he is safe and well”

Police have said Mr Butler maybe in the Thaxted area of Essex.

Police urge anyone who may have seen Mr Butler, have spotted a blue L reg Ford Mondeo or has any information relating to his whereabouts to contact them on 01284 774 100.
