East Anglia's Children's Hospices at Christmas

Thursday, 20th November 2008.

Would you like to make a difference to a local family by allowing your local hospice to benefit from your Christmas lights display?

Would you like to take part in a fun-filled festive event and raise money to help local life-threatened children and their families?

East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH) can help with both of these questions.

Christmas Lights
EACH invites anyone planning to erect festive lights this year to consider making a collection in aid of their local children’s hospice. We supply eye-catching ‘weatherproof’ posters (including a letter of authority) for displaying in either a window or outside in the garden. We would also be delighted to provide stocks of literature.
Contact Danielle at EACH on 01953 715556 to request your pack. (see email address below)

Santa Runs
A fun-filled festive event that all the family can join in! Run, jog or walk approximately 2km dressed as Santa and help raise funds for EACH. Entry is £12 for adults, £5 for children and £30 for families, which includes a Santa suit for adults, and a Santa hat for children.
Join us in:
King’s Lynn (23rd Nov) Bury St Edmunds (30th Nov)
Colchester (7th Dec) Peterborough (7th Dec)
Ipswich (14th Dec) Cambridge (14th Dec)

EACH aim to maximise the quality of life for children with life-threatening conditions and complex healthcare needs, and to support their families. Care and support is delivered in the family home or at one of the three hospices in Quidenham (Norfolk), Milton (Cambs) and Ipswich (Suffolk). Some children may only have a very short time to live, perhaps only weeks or months, others may reach early adulthood but our aim at EACH is always the same – to enhance their quality of life and support their family.

Only a small proportion of the funding for EACH comes from statutory sources, which means voluntary income is absolutely vital.
