Feelgood Friday to kick off Clare ‘02’

Last years crowds at Clare World Music Festival

The date of the fifth Clare World Music Festival has been announced after Suffolk County Council gave the go-ahead for the use of Clare Castle Country Park.

The event, now in its fifth year will be headlined by 80s favourites Boney M supported by Dr Feelgood, the legendary and outrageous 80s rockers.

Feelgood Friday will preview the event with music from Dr Feelgood and Braintree based Nermal. Tickets for the concert are limited to 220, and are available at a cost of £5 from Ship Stores, Clare.

Chantel will provide a gentile start to Clare ‘02’ on Saturday, July 13, followed by Nermal, a g gentle emerging soul outfit.

Trenchtown Experience, the cracking Bob Marley tribute band will get the afternoon swinging. Then, supporting act, Dr Feelgood, will get the crowd rocking before King Prawn, the high energy Ska outfit take to the stage.

Finally perhaps one of the most controversial, yet successful disco groups of all time Boney M hit the stage proving great talent never dies.

Tickets for the festival go on sale on Feelgood Friday at a special price of £10 each otherwise throughout April tickets will cost £12, afterwards rising to £15. Children under 5 will get in free, those under 14 will only have to pay £5. All children must be accompanied by adults.
