Former journalist sets up PR company

Friday, 25th September 2009.

A former journalist and news editor from Haverhill has set up her own public relations consultancy.

Simply PR is the creation of PR consultant Sue Warren, who has a wealth of experience in promoting companies and organisations, and she has already secured a wide range of clients.

Sue started her career on the Bury Free Press in Bury St Edmunds, before leaving to join the newsdesk of the Reading Evening Post.

After leaving journalism Sue worked both within PR agencies and in-house for a number of high profile organisations including University of Cambridge International Examinations, national consumer watchdog Postwatch and NHS clients including West Suffolk Hospital and Suffolk Primary Care Trust.

Most recently she managed the PR and charitable foundation for East Anglia’s leading independent school Culford, near Bury St Edmunds.

Sue said: “The recession means that now more than ever companies and organisations are looking at how they can promote their services and products to keep one step ahead of the competition.

"When we come out of this economic downturn businesses need to be in a position where they are foremost in the minds of customers and supporters.

“I believe in the value PR can bring to organisations and the huge benefits that building successful and long-term relationships with journalists, customers, employees, and the community can bring to the future prosperity of businesses and organisations.”

More information on Simply PR can be found at Sue’s website www.simplypr.net
