French Market on its Way to Haverhill!

Friday, 21st March 2008.

The ever popular French Market will once again be bringing Gallic flavours and fragrances to Haverhill town centre...

More than 30 brightly coloured stalls will line Queens Street on Friday, Saturday and Sunday (4, 5 and 6 April), selling delicious fine foods, bags, luxury cosmetics and traditional craft products.

The continental stalls will complement the town’s regular Friday and Saturday provisions market, which will be held as usual in the Market Square. Then, on Saturday and Sunday, the square will boast children’s rides and entertainments, while an ice cream van will also be on hand.

Cllr Nigel Aitkens, St Edmundsbury Cabinet member for Haverhill, said:

“Previous continental markets have exceeded all expectations – but this year promises to be bigger and better than ever before. This year we have added extra entertainments over the weekend, and hope that even more people come along to soak up the atmosphere and see what Haverhill has to offer.”

Opening times will be:

9am to 6pm Friday and Saturday 10 am to 4pm Sunday
