Havebury tenants invited to special feedback meeting

Tuesday, 9th August 2011.

Tenants of Haverhill's biggest housing provider are among those being invited to a special meeting where there will be an opportunity to tell their landlord what they think of them.

Resident involvement is to be top of the agenda at a special focus group for Havebury tenants this month.

Over the last few years, Havebury Housing Partnership has introduced a variety of ways for tenants to give feedback on its services, such as groups like the Friends of Havebury and estate walkabouts.

Now, it is holding a tenants’ focus group to find out if these methods have been successful.

Havebury chief executive Karen Mayhew explained that the event, taking place on Thursday, August 18, at the Anselm Centre in Bury St Edmunds, is part of its Resident Involvement Service Review. This is a process which takes place every three years.

She added: “The focus group will be friendly and informal, giving our tenants the opportunity to chat with us about the way we gather their views and listen to what they tell us.

“Their views are so important to us and we really welcome any feedback on what’s working, what’s not working and what they think we could do differently. We are committed to involving them in any changes we make.”

A £10 high street shopping voucher will be given to the first 20 tenants who attend and transport will be provided for those who have difficulty travelling to the venue in Anselm Avenue.

Mrs Mayhew added: “It really is a great opportunity for our tenants to have their say and make a difference. We are looking forward to hearing their views.”

The focus group will be held between 2.30pm and 4pm. For more information or to book a space, call the Stronger Communities team on 01284 722033.
