A fun free day out for all ages is promised at this year's Big Day Out in Haverhill on Wednesday 25 July, with a wide range of events planned to keep everyone entertained.

The event has been running for a number of years, giving people the chance to get involved in lots of activities and find out about various services. Lined up for this year is a flight simulator, Punch and Judy, plenty of games, quizzes, a football tournament and arts and crafts. There's also a fire engine, face painting, advice on accident prevention and recycling.

The Big Day Out is organised by St Edmundsbury Borough Council and Suffolk County Council and supported by a wide range of voluntary and other organisations.

The free Haverhill Big Day Out will be on the Recreation Ground, from 10am to 4pm.
