Haverhill Chamber Elects New Chair

Tuesday, 24th June 2008.

Following the Haverhill Chamber's recent AGM, Sarah Howard of Sarand Business Software has been elected as the organisation's new chairperson.

A member of the Haverhill Chamber since 2004, Sarah joined the Haverhill Chamber’s committee as Secretary in 2007.

Since moving to Sturmer 12 years ago, Sarah has co-founded a very successful parenting group and is currently Chair of Governors at a local school.

Commenting on the appointment Sarah said:

“I think Haverhill is a great place to live and work and I want to do what I can to help the continued development of the town. The Chamber of Commerce is a very active organisation recognised on a local, county and national level and is a good way of gaining a voice for the town. Over the next few months, Haverhill Chamber will be looking to increase its membership and extending it programme of events, as well as strengthening its partnerships with other local business organisations.

“I’m looking forward to the year ahead. It is going to be an exciting time for Haverhill, with the cinema and surrounding restaurants opening in the autumn, and the continued development of the business park.

“The committee and I believe that the town will continue to flourish and grow, despite the economical uncertainty there is in the world today. It is Haverhill Chamber’s aim to represent the town’s business community, and to ensure that the town and the Chamber go from strength to strength.”
