At the recent 2010 EEF (The Manufacturers’ Organisation) South East of England award ceremony Herbert Retail of Haverhill were presented with the Highly Commended award for Innovative People Practices.

The entry was based around the way in which Herbert Retail has fostered a real ‘team approach’ to managing health and safety within the business.

This is a hugely prestigious award with 318 competing companies of which many are PLCs and is a real testament to the excellent performance around health and safety management and delivery within the business.

Tracey Roach, Herbert Retail’s HR director, said: "It is a great accolade which recognises a great team effort.

"The south-east is a huge area covering from Kings Lynn to the New Forest and so to win the award is something of which Herbert Retail are justifiably proud."
