It's to the Manor born for the new Suffolk champions of the table

Thursday, 23rd December 1999.

CASTLE Manor Upper School pupils are celebrating becoming the new Suffolk Table Tennis Champions.
The team of Jamie Nunn, James Dockerill, Cieron Hayes and new year 9 champion Ross Polley, won the title by whitewashing Ipswich School 8-0.
Castle Manor now go on to contest the area finals at St Neots on January 22, when they will meet the best schools from Norfolk, Cambridgeshire and Bedfordshire.
Table tennis is a popular sport at the school where caretaker Colin Cushen has run a thriving lunchtime club for many years. The Haverhill school last produced a team of Suffolk champions four years ago.
