McDonalds withdraw from planning appeal

St Edmundsbury Borough Council have confirmed that McDonalds has withdrawn from a public enquiry which would have looked at planning applications for a drive-thru restaurant off Park Road.
St Edmundsbury Planning Committee Chairman, Cllr Mrs Margaret Warwick, said "I know that the Council, and the people of Haverhill, would welcome McDonalds to the town, but it has to be on a suitable site. Hopefully we can now enter into discussions with the company to identify an appropriate location."
