MP to give annual update to business people

Tuesday, 11th March 2014.

Haverhill's MP gives his annual update to business people at thebestof Haverhill monthly meeting next week.

The bestof Haverhill will hold its next networking meeting on Friday, March 21, at Days Inn hotel, from 10am to 11.30am.

The networking event, normally on a Thursday, changes to a Friday in March to accommodate the commitments of guest speaker Matthew Hancock, minister for skills and enterprise and MP for West Suffolk.

Matthew will be joining local businesses and organisations for his annual update, his fifth appearance since he first spoke at the inaugural meeting in April 2010 as a Prospective Parliamentary Candidate.

He will review his last 12 months in office, talk about the role as minister for skills and take questions from members of the local business community.

Elaine Carr, owner of thebestof Haverhill said: “I am very pleased that Matthew has agreed to take time out of his very busy schedule to speak at our event.

"I know Matthew likes to use our event as a forum to find out what the issues and challenges are for companies in Haverhill and the surrounding area.

"He will provide an overview of the last year and, as in previous years, will be keen to take advantage of the opportunity to connect directly with local businesses in his constituency.

"If you are a local business owner and would like the chance to put a question to Matthew then please join us on the 21st.”

If you would like to attend this free event at The Days Inn Haverhill email Haverhill@thebestof.co.uk or call Elaine Carr on 01440 710 158 by Wednesday 19th March. The monthly events run by bestof Haverhill are open to all local businesses and organisations.
