New club for people wanting to start a business

Tuesday, 10th September 2013.

Menta, the Suffolk Enterprise Agency, have announced the launch of a new Menta Business Club.

The monthly club will be held at Menta Business Centre, in Hollands Road, and will offer advice and help for people considering setting up a small business.

Alex Till, chief executive of Menta, said: “Our aim is to support and encourage people to start their own business and become their own boss.

"The Menta Business Club is free to attend and is a great opportunity for people to learn the tools of modern business to enable them to put their ideas into practice.”

The club will cover business subjects including business planning, marketing, social media, and finance, web sites and media relations.

Phil Pethybridge, who will host the club on behalf of Menta, said: “I regularly meet people with great ideas but they are just not sure how to start the journey of making it a reality.

"The Menta Business Club is designed to support great ideas and get people going on their journeys. There are no business egos or attitudes, just honest support and guidance.”

The first session is on Thursday at Menta Business Centre. The club will meet for an hour and a half, starting at 12.30pm. Booking is not required. For more information contact Menta on 01284 760206 or contact Phil on phil@menta.org.uk
