New homes burgled through unlocked doors

Part of Haverhill's new Meadowlands estate was been targeted by thieves overnight on Wednesday.
Two homes in Brickfields were burgled between 11pm and 6.45am, and various cash and electronic items taken.
In one case they got in through an insecure door and stole keys, cash, an iPod and two laptops.
In the other they also got in through an insecure door and stole an Xbox, bank cards, a digital camera, a laptop and a mobile phone.
The police are linking the two crimes and calls in relation to them should be made to DC Paul Gant at West Suffolk CID on 01284 774100 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
