Picnic and Fun For Toddler Group
Thursday, 7th August 2003.
ALMOST 100 youngsters tucked into a picnic hosted by the Tweeny Weeny Parent and Toddler group at Recreation Ground.
Children who attend the group, as well as their older brothers and sisters and some who previously attended, all went along to the event on Thursday.
As well as food, there were bouncy castles, face painting sessions, a chance to look at the St John Ambulance, plus magic and puppetry from Mr Rainbow.
Wendy Grandinetti, one of the organisers, said everyone had thoroughly enjoyed the event.
"We were very lucky with the weather, especially as there is no shade on the Recreation Ground.
"It was a very busy one and a bit of a reunion as well, as a lot of children who used to attend came back," she said.
The group meets at the West End Church in Withersfield Road on Monday and Wednesday mornings from 10-11.30am.
Mothers and fathers bring their children along and some places are still available.
