Police seek man seen near scene of holiday burglary

Tuesday, 26th April 2011.

Police have issued a description of a man they want to talk to about a burglary in Station Road, Haverhill, on Saturday.

The incident happened between 8am and 4.20pm when someone broke into a house by smashing glass in a door and stole two cameras and mixing decks.

A suspicious man was seen in the area in the morning. He spoke to a neighbour and looked into her home.

He is described as white, in his 30s, around 5ft 8in tall with light-coloured hair and was wearing dark trousers with a belt and grey/black shoes. He was bare chested and carried a cream shoulder bag.

* There was further criminal activity over the holiday weekend, when windows were smashed at the library.

The incident happened between 7pm on and 8.30am on Saturday. Six windows were damaged at the library in Camps Road, by items being thrown or fired at them.
