Police seek witness to town centre robbery

Thursday, 16th August 2012.

Haverhill police are appealing for a witness to a robbery to come forward.

A 27-year-old victim of the alleged incident spoke to a person in Lordscroft Lane near to the police station at around 4am on Friday, August 10, who advised the victim to report the incident.

Police would like to speak to this individual who may have information that could assist the investigation.

A 28-year-old man from Haverhill was arrested by police in connection with the offence and is currently on bail.

He is due to return to Bury St Edmunds Police Investigation Centre (PIC) on Friday, October 5.

Meanwhile two Haverhill men have been arrested in connection with two robberies in Bury St Edmunds that occurred during the night of Tuesday, August 14.

A 23-year-old woman from Bury St Edmunds and two 22-year-old men from Haverhill were arrested by police in Essex yesterday.

They were taken to Bury St Edmunds Police Investigation Centre (PIC), where they are currently being questioned by officers.
