Pool league ends in play-off

A play-off game will take place after the Woolpack and Rose Tavern A finished tied at the top of the Haverhill and District Sunday Pool League.
The league decider will be played at the neutral venue of the White Hart on Sunday September 5 with eight singles and three doubles games.
The League Captin's Cup was won by C Singh of the Rose Tavern A team.
The league's finals and presentation night will be held at the Haverhill Ex-Servicemen's Club on Sunday September 12 with matches starting at 8.00pm.
In the doubles finals, best-of-five frames, R Nelson and G Davidson of the Suffolk Punch will play W Smith and G Hughes of the Rose Tavern.
In the singles final, also best-of-five frames, W Smith from the Rose Tavern will play T Howard from the Woolpack.
