Round table's appeal

AS the Haverhill Round Table this week presented a cheque for £1000 to St John's Ambulance they appealed for new members.
The money which St John's Ambulance plan to put forward to a new ambulance was raised through a three-mile fun run held in June.
St John Ambulance's plan to raise further money later in the year to meet the costs of a new £12,000 to £14,000 ambulance.
The group are "more than pleased" with the money raised by the Round Table.
The Haverhill Round Table are appealing for new members to join the existing 13 Tablers.
According to Paul Dunno, chairman, the Round Table isn't only about raising money for the local community but also taking part in various other activities like go-carting and dry-ski tobogganing.
The group meets at the Hundon Plough on the second and fourth Thursday of every month.
