Santa drops in to town's leisure centre

Father Christmas will be dropping in to meet children at Kid City at Haverhill Leisure Centre in the lead-up to the festive season.
Youngsters can meet him in his grotto from Friday, December 17, to Thursday, December 23.
Santa’s appearance is just one of the special events planned for the Christmas holidays at the centre.
Members of the gold medal award-winning GB boccia team will be offering a taster session and giving a demonstration session to youngsters at Haverhill Leisure Centre on Monday, December 20.
The session will be part of the centre’s free annual ‘Go For Gold’ event, sponsored by Deloitte, where youngsters can try out Olympic sports and meet athletes who have competed at the Games.
Open to youngsters aged seven to 14, the free event, will enable children to try out sports including boccia, cycling, badminton, table tennis and gymnastics.
Parents can book their meeting with Father Christmas on 01440 702548. Pick up a leaflet at the Leisure Centre for more information. Entry is £3.50 which includes a photo with Santa and a gift.
