Simples opportunity for all this half-term

If you want to compare meerkats, however simply, Haverhill Leisure Centre will be the place for you on Tuesday, June 2.

Cambridge-based The Animal Experience will be bringing some fur and feathered friends to Leisure Centre, including meerkats, an African hedgehog and a chinchilla.

The Fur and Feather Friends event is just one of the activities lined up for the half-term break in June and all activities this half-term are half-price.

The popular football camp for eight to 12-year-olds is back on Thursday, June 3, and Laser Blast for eight to 12-year-olds on Friday, June 4. Laser Blast is a fast-paced game similar to tag, in which players use lasers to tag their opponents and score as many points as possible.

There is also fun for five to eight-year-olds at the wobstacle event which sees youngsters navigating their way through an obstacle race of inflatables and balls.

Michelle Banfield-Curran, sports development officer, said: “We have more variety than ever before in our holiday programme for youngsters in Haverhill and this half-term all activities are half-price."
