Street light and car vandalised in same area

Friday, 23rd May 2014.

Police are appealing for witnesses after a street light was subjected to vandalism in Haverhill.

The light, in Exeter Court, has had its light casing damaged on several occasions over the past few months, the most recent of which was reported to police on Monday, May 19.

The damage is believed to have been caused by an air weapon pellet. Other lights in the area of Exeter Court were also found to have sustained minor damage consistent with this.

Anyone who may have witnessed any lights being damaged, or who has information regarding these incidents, is asked to contact the Haverhill Safer Neighbourhood Team on 101, quoting reference HH/14/969, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

* Police are also appealing for information after a car was vandalised in the town.

The incident occurred between 4.30pm yesterday, and 9.40am this morning, also in Exeter Court.

A deep line was scratched into the paintwork all along the nearside and also the boot of a silver Ford Mondeo, which had been left parked in the street.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact PC John Moore at Haverhill Police Station on 101, quoting reference HH/14/1001, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
