Youngsters will battle it out for first prize in the Kid City’s Got Talent competition at Haverhill Leisure Centre on Friday.

Children aged five to 12 have been auditioning at the popular children’s indoor play area throughout the summer holidays.

The winner will receive the Kid City’s Got Talent trophy and there are medals for first, second and third place. The winner and runners-up also get free passes to Kid City.

Among the judges will be Haverhill journalist Jo Deeks and the chairman of Abbeycroft Brian Jones.

Laura Flowers, who has organised the talent contest, said: “We have had a tremendous response to our talent contest this summer with some very talented Haverhill youngsters auditioning throughout the summer holidays.

“There is so much talent among our young people in Haverhill and the confidence in these children is amazing.”

The winner of Kid City’s Got Talent’s first contest in March was eight-year-old Gerardine Cheri Nacionales, from Mallow Walk, who sang Beyonce’s Listen.

The final of the talent contest will be at Kid City’s Hawaiian Beach Party which takes place from 3pm to 6pm. Entry is £3 per child and tickets can be booked at the centre’s reception or by calling 01440 702548.
