Teenage girl made up story of assault

An assault reported by a teenage girl in Haverhill earlier this month never happened, police have now established.
Following reports of an assault on a 17-year-old girl in Vange Place on the evening of Thursday, November 4, a thorough investigation was carried out.
It has now been determined that no crime took place.
A 17-year-old girl from Haverhill has been reported for wasting police time.
Police have said would like to thank the public and media for their assistance with this matter.
