Teenage girls and boys accosted by three men

Tuesday, 27th July 2010.

Two groups of teenagers were approached by three men on Friday afternoon in ways that have led police to launch an investigation.

The incidents happened in Leiston Road, between 2pm and 2.30pm. The three males approached two 15-year-old girls who were sitting on a wall, and spoke to them in a way that made them feel uncomfortable, so they walked off.

The men then approached two teenage boys and spoke inappropriately to them about females.

The first man is described as white, 6ft 3in tall, in his late 20s, bald with a thin face and was wearing a zipped hooded top, black tracksuit bottoms and white trainers. He was carrying a bottle of beer and was smoking.

The second man is described as white with a tanned complexion, of slim build, short with brown hair and thin sideburns and was wearing a yellow T-shirt, cropped trousers and white boots.

The third man is described as short, of large build with a round face, bald and was wearing a navy zipped jacket with red stripes on the arms and dark coloured nylon jogging bottoms.

Anyone who can help with information in relation to this incident should call PC Penny Ogden at Haverhill Police on 01284 774100 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
