Tennis club team complete summer and winter double

Their first fixture against Forrester Park (Near Maldon) back in September was a glorious day with Abi and Rachel winning all five sets.
Lucy was in fine form for the two matches she played against Lavenham B and Wickham Bishops, winning all her singles matches, with Abi only losing one of the ten rubbers played.
On November 21, Haverhill played against a strong Braintree team but after a few three-set matches managed to win 4-1.
The final fixture was played last Sunday on a bitterly cold day against old rivals Lavenham.
Ruby and Daisy Hawkins representing Lavenham put up a great fight and Ruby had a match point against Abi but failed to put the overhead away losing 5-4, 4-0, (8-10 in the championship tie break).
Rachel Jeffs proved too strong for Daisy 4-1, 4-2 but lost to Ruby 4-0, 4-2 in a great game.
Abi beat Daisy 4-0, 4-1 in a one-sided game and then Abi and Rachel combined in the doubles to play the final match.
The Haverhill girls played some great tennis, wrapping the match up quite quickly, winning 4-0, 4-0 with the Lavenham girls' spirit dwindling.
