Tough first outing for tennis club men's B team

Haverhill Tennis Club men’s B team travelled to Thetford for their first match of the season, in the Suffolk and Norfolk Tennis League, Division Three.
David Payne & Simon Goddard lost 2-6, 3-6 to Phil Crisps & Nick Chamberland and also lost 2-6, 3-6 to Daryl Satchell & Steve Williams.
Simon Goddard was playing his first match for several years, but he and David Payne put in a good performance and were closer than the scores suggest.
Jake Warner & Ray Goddard lost 4-6 and won 7-6 against Crisps & Chamberland and lost 3-6, 4-6 to Satchell & Williams.
The match result was 7-1 to Thetford.
