Trick or treat on the market

Monday, 26th October 2015.

Ghouls and ghosts, witches and werewolves will roam the Market Square on Saturday as all the horror of Halloween comes to Haverhill.

Our popular crafts and gifts market is making its return with around a dozen stalls, selling a mix of items to suit all tastes. There will also be our regular market while St Edmundsbury Borough Council has organised a variety of fun Halloween activities.
Join our trick or treat treasure hunt, enjoy our spooky puppet show, or have a go at apple bobbing. There will also be a swingboat and roundabout rides for children to enjoy while every youngster in fancy dress will win a prize.

The fun takes place between 10am and 3pm.

Cllr Peter Stevens, St Edmundsbury Borough Council Cabinet Member for Operations, said: “This is the fifth crafts and gifts market that we have held this year in Haverhill. They have always been very popular and add to the mix of items sold by our regular market traders. It is certainly worth a visit for those of us already turning our attention to buying Christmas gifts.

“There are also plenty of activities to entertain the youngsters so get to Haverhill market this weekend.”
