Winmau darts to mothers resuce

Haverhill based, Winmau Darts have donated a new set of playing darts to a mother whosen ten year old set was stolen on Mothers Day.

Alison Roffey, 38 was visiting her grandmothers memorial in Cambridge when she left her son in the car with her handbag.

A man enticed her son out of the car asking for help to find a set of keys. When he got left the car the thief snatched the bag with the darts in.

Alison who lives in Fordham plays for the White Horse all women winter league darts team.

Upon reading about Alisons plight Ian Flack, the sales and marketing manager at the international firm offered to replace the darts with a free choice from their catalogue.

Speaking to the Cambridge Evening News, in which Alison’s story was featured she said: “I went for tungsten, 23g impact darts. I didn’t know but apparently they are the most expensive ones!”
