Witnesses sought after car strikes woman

Wednesday, 16th October 2013.

Police are appealing for witnesses after a woman was struck by a car in Haverhill. The incident occurred at around 5.15pm on Tuesday, October 15, in Bumpstead Road.

The woman, who is in her twenties, was walking along the road when she was clipped by a car, believed to be a blue Renault, causing an injury to her leg. The driver stopped but did not leave any details.

Police are keen to trace this man and anybody who may have witnessed the incident or who has any information is asked to contact PC Nicholas Chapman on 101.

*Police in Haverhill are also appealing for witnesses after a car window was smashed in the town. The incident occurred between 4.20pm and 9.30pm Sunday, October 13, in Chauntry Road.

The car, a red Ford Ka, had been left parked securely in the street opposite the recreation ground building, when a small rock was thrown through the window.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact PC John Moore at Haverhill Police Station on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
