Witnesses sought after jewellery theft

Monday, 16th February 2015.

Police are appealing for witnesses after jewellery was stolen in a burglary in Haverhill.

The break-in took place between 3.50pm and 6.15pm yesterday, at an address in Jay Close.

A rear window was smashed to gain entry to the property and items of jewellery were stolen from inside.

The offender had also filled a large laundry bag with computer games and consoles, but this was left behind in the kitchen.

Anyone who witnessed any suspicious activity in the area, or who has information relating to this crime, is asked to contact the Bury St Edmunds Priority Crime Team on 101 quoting reference HH/15/339, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
