Woman, 18, accosted on her way to work

Tuesday, 10th February 2015.

Police in Haverhill are appealing for witnesses after two men approached an 18-year-old woman at the weekend.

The incident took place between 5.45am and 6am on Saturday, February 7, beginning in Camps Road.

The victim was walking to work when she was approached by a man who asked her if she had a cigarette, to which she replied no.

He then continued to walk alongside her, asking for her phone number and again she said no.

As they got closer to the town centre another man appeared and the two men then began walking either side of her.

They continued to ask for her number and tried to engage her in conversation until she reached her place of work at Tesco, where they were then told to leave by other members of staff.

The first man is described as black, aged around 22-years-old, approximately 5ft 10in tall, of average build, with short hair. He was wearing a dark jacket and grey tracksuit bottoms.

The second man is described as white, also aged around 22-years-old, approximately 5ft 11in tall, of average build, with short dark hair. He was also wearing a dark jacket and grey tracksuit bottoms.
