Cash pot available for local community groups

Community groups and organisations are being urged to apply for up to £5,000 from a special grant pot made available to One Haverhill by St Edmundsbury Borough Council to fund projects that will benefit Haverhill people.
The closing date for the first round of applications is Sunday, April 8. The applications will be considered by the grants panel of One Haverhill and successful applicants will be notified within three weeks.
Anne Gower, chairman of One Haverhill, said: “One Haverhill is keen to support local groups with existing or future projects and would welcome applications for funding.
"The aims of the grants must be to provide value for money but we want to look for something which makes a difference to the people of Haverhill.
"This is money held locally to be spent locally and I look forward to seeing the applications coming through so that we can get the money out there working for the people of Haverhill.”
